Patricia Anderson Bright, 63, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, after a courageous battle with pneumonia, due to complications from myelodysplastic syndrome.

Her mother, Cecelia Anderson, preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Mike Anderson.

Patricia was survived by:
father, Joe W. Anderson, Knoxville;
son, Michael Kevin Bright, Knoxville;
daughters, Kellie Rebecca Frazier and son-in-law, Tom Frazier of Louisville, TN;
Rebecca Anne Bright, Nashville;
sisters , Becky Sherrod, Kingston;
Harriett Schlank, Knoxville;
niece, Jill Lomenick;
nephews, Greg & Joey Anderson, Michael Sherrod, Evan Schlank, and Christian Schlank.

Pattie was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church and a first grade teacher for 21 years, 17 of which were spent at Cedar Bluff Primary. She retired in 2006. She will be remembered for her caring and always positive spirit, unending faith in God and strong character.

The family would like to thank Dr. Wahid Hanna's oncology team, as well as the MCC unit of UT Medical Hospital.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009, 1 PM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The memorial service will be held Friday, January 2, 2009, 7 PM, Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church Chapel with Rev. Roy Zinn officiating.

As a leukemia survivor, Pattie requests that donations be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society in lieu of flowers. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. An online guest book may be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com
