DEATH OF MRS. C. A. JENKS

Mary, the wife of Mr. C. A. Jenks, died Saturday at Gilbert leaving a baby three weeks old and a little boy of five. Mrs. Jenks had seemed in favorable condition until a chnange only a few hours before her death. Mr. and Mrs. Jenks removed to Gilbert from Ames about a year and a half ago. Mr. Jenks becoming manager of the Framers elevator at that place. During their residence in Ames they lived on Ash avenue. Mr. Jenks being in partnership with Mr. Edwards. Mrs. Jenks home before her marriage was in Davenport but during her residence in ames she made many friends who regret deeply her untimely death. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Gilbert in the Congregational church and interment made in the Gilbert cemetery. Mr. Jenks was ill at the time of his wife's death and the shock of her sudden taking away has completely prostrated him. His sister, Mrs. M. P. Cleghorn of Ames has been with the family most of time for the past week and goes again to Gilbert this evening to minister to her stricken brother.
