ANSARDI Wallace Phillip Ansardi, age 88, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009. Beloved husband of the late May Krieger. Father of Wanda A Alcon (Clyde). Brother of Earline Guillory. Grandfather of Chip (Barbara), Craig (Andrea) and Jonathan Alcon. Great grandfather of Dominic, Kirksey and Cooper Alcon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ansardi was a retired Chief Deputy of the St. Bernard Sheriff's Office and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ansardi was a Charter member of the St. Bernard Society for Crippled Children and Adults, St. Bernard Sheriff's Posse, and Junior Deputy Club. He was a member of the Arabi Lions Club, VFW, American Legion, Dominique You Masonic Lodge # 468, St. Bernard Shriner Oganization, and the 90th Division U.S. Army "Tough Ombre" Association. He served as District Governor for Lions International and as Commander of the Civil Air Patrol, Louisiana Wing. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 11:30 AM at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue Street Chalmette, LA. Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:30. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Mass cards or donations to American Cancer Society are appreciated.
