Davidson, Elijah
Was born in North Carolina in 1783. Removed to Kentucky about 1818, and from there to Warren County, Illinois, in 1831, and crossed the plains to Oregon in 1850, and died at Monmouth, Polk County, in 1870, aged eighty-seven years. His first wife was Miss _____Murphy, by whom he had twelve children. She died in 1864. Second wife the relict of Dr. James McBride. Mr. Davidson was a soldier in the War of 1812.
