Martin H. Golden died at his residence Thursday, March 11, 1999.

The funeral was held Saturday, March 13, 1 p.m., at Shelton Funeral Home with Mark Posey and Irwin Crow officiating.

Burial was in the Moulton Memory Gardens.

Mr. Golden was born in Franklin County to Alvin and Ada Wear Golden. After retiring, he worked for Battles Security. He was a member of Austinville Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Madine Golden; one daughter, Ernestine Johnson of Yipsilanti, Mich.; one stepson, Randy Wallace of Danbury, Conn.; one stepdaughter, Carol Wallace of Decatur; two brothers, Woodrow Golden of Cullman and Bill Golden of Tyler,Texas; two sisters, Elizabeth Winchester of Caddo and Lucille Flippin of Decatur; and one grandson.

Pallbearers were Tommy Jones, Lynn Rutherford, Sammy Joe Stetler, Willard Winchester, Bob Jernigan and Danny Golden.
