Mrs. Walter Parks, age 84 of Sheldon died on February 7, at the Sheldon hospital after a brief illness.
Memorial services were held at the Church of Christ in Sheldon with the Rev. Ken Peterson officiating.
Arrangements were handled by the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon
Mrs. Parks, the former Georgia Smead was born in Sheldon on February 22, 1893
On March 19, 1921, she was married to Walter Parks at Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Survivors include; four daughters; Mrs. Donald (Winifred) Adams of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Harold (Marjorie) Sikma of Sheldon, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Maranell of Milford and Mrs. Hermie (Wilma) Nelson of Clarion. Three sons, Donald Parks of Dayton, Ohio, David Crocker of Mederland, Texas and Larry Crocker of Hawthorne, California and two step sons; Merlin Parks of Mason City and Merrill Parks of Cape Corral, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Ethel) Walter of Sheldon and Mrs. Ben (Helen) Groghan of Wahoo, Nebraska, 26 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren
Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, 5 brothers and 3 sisters
