She was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Stanley County, N.C., to Hubert Hinson and Edna Mae Coley Hinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ovid L. Hinson, and a sister, Josephine Hinson.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Howard D. Stone of the home; two daughters, Sandra G. Stone and Susan C. Forest, both of Colonial Heights; four brothers, William F. Hinson of Ocala, Fla., Hubert D. Hinson of Midland, N.C., Autrey E. "Tinker" Hinson of Stanfield, N.C., and Clay R. Hinson of Gregory, S.D.; one sister, Cillar H. Fagg of Greensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. James Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
