S. T. (Tom) Easterling, 82, of Route 5, Huntsville died March 21 in the hospital here. A retired farmer, he was born in this country Dec. 3, 1880, the son of William Easterling and Mary Mullins Easterling, and was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Parker of Route 5; two sons, Leslie Easterling of Springdale and George Easterling of Idaho; one brother, Andy Easterling of Claremore, Okla., 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Garrison officiating. Burial was in the Whorton Creek cemetery under the direction of Brashears.
Pallbearers were Keith, Ewell and Ewen Easterling, Darl Parker, Elrie Parker and Clifton Hathorne.
