Albert Erickson, 59, of Hoagland, died Monday night in St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, where he had undergone brain surgery. A retired farmer, he had served in the Army during World War I.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Marquart and Painter Funeral Home at Monroeville, and burial will be in the Monroeville IOOF Cemetery. The Keith Brown Post 420 American Legion, will hold military graveside rites.

Surviving are the wife, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Van Lear, Monroeville; two brothers, Carl, in Michigan, and Oscar, in Idaho, and two sisters, Mrs. Celia Peterson in California, and Mrs. Dorothy Santill, Portland, Ore.

Friends may call at the funeral home.
