C. A. Montgomery, 80, of 1116 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, died May 20 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born May 20, 1891, at Wharton.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Slusher Montgomery, of the home; three sons, Leslie of Springdale, Bill of Huntsville and Mack Montgomery of Muskogee, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Nina O'Neal of Muskogee and Mrs. Ida Dotson of Ontario, Calif.; one brother, Elmer Montgomery, of Muskogee; one sisters, Mrs. Nada M. Parsons of Muskogee; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 22, at 4 o'clock in the Huntsville Church of Christ with Rev. Don Smothers officiating. Burial was in Lower Wharton cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers included grandsons, Kenneth Dotson, Wayne and Charles O'Neal, Dale, Ronald and Johnnie Montgomery.
