4 WOMEN KILLED NEAR H'BURG ON WAY TO FUNERAL

HARRISBURG, IL -- Nov. 18 - Four women were killed at a railroad crossing at Texs City, 10 miles north of here, at 9:30 when a Big Four train struck, their auto.

The dead: Mrs. John Foster and Mrs. Frank Blackard, both of Hazel Ridge, IL, Mrs. Jane Pankey of Harrisburg and Miss Pauline Graves, Gosset, IL. The four women were en route to the funeral of A. J. Bruce, a relative, when the train struck their small touring car and carried it for some distance. Miss Graves was driving. Mrs. Blackard was a daughter of Mrs. Foster, and Mrs. Pankey was a sister of the latter.

The death report is a mess on the names.
