Mrs. G. R. Lyons Dies in Madison Mrs. Goodwin R. Lyons, 54, of 1110 Glen St., wife of the president of Janesville Sand and Gravel Co., died yesterday in University Hospitals after a brief illness.

Mr and Mrs Lyons were residents of Madison for many years until he was named executive vice president and, in 1966, president of the local firm. He formerly was president of Four Lakes Concrete Corp., Madison, a firm acquired by Janesville Sand and Gravel Co. in 1961.

The former Mary Cusick was born in Oregon, Wis., the daughter of Mr and Mrs Patrick Cusick, and married in 1936. The family moved to Janesville in 1963.

Mrs. Lyons was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Madison and Janesville Catholic Women's Clubs, president of Mercy Hospital Auxilliary, a member of the board of directors of the Early Janesville Restoration Society, LTD., and Janesville Women's Club.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. John Yaeger, Hinsdale, Ill., Mary Flo, Madison, and Elizabeth Ann at home; a son, Goodwin R. Jr., Madison; four grandcildren; a brother Robert Cusick, Milwaukee.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 am in St. John Vianney Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Joyce Funeral Home, 540 W. Washington St., Madison, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
