OTTAWA - Services will be Saturday at Dengel and Son Mortuary, Ottawa, for Mrs. Della F. Shaffer, 97, Ottawa, who died Wednesday at an Ottawa nursing home. She had been in failing health since 1965.
She was born Jan. 5, 1876 at Doniphan, Kans., daughter of Jodie and Nancy Perkins Boyle. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Ottawa.
She was married to Mark A. Bennett in May of 1891. He died in June of 1920. She was then married to Ernest Shaffer in May of 1923. He died in December of 1962.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Cecil Honn, Ottawa and Mrs. Addie Mae Goldman, Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Carl E. Bennett, Pomona; 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
