William Leslie Bailey- died August 4, 2004, 78, of Otisco Valley, died monday at home. Born in Birmingham, England he emigrated to the United States with his wife and two children in 1958. He served in the Royal Navy in Great Britian, and was injured at Dunkirk in 1947. He worked for Beak & Skiff Aplle Orchard for 30 years until an accident caused him to retire at the age of 61. He was also a 30 year member of the Amber Fire Department. He was predeceased by five children: John Leslie, Peter Patrick, Colleen Marie, William Alfred, and Bill Andrew Bailey.

Suvivors: his wife of 55 years Barbara W. Elliott; four daughters, Yvonne Leslie Bailey of Otisco Valley, Patricia Ann Mitchell of Camillus, Staff Sergeant Tina Louise Bailey and Heather Dawn Bailey of Idaho; one son, Michael Edward Bailey of Otisco Valley; two granddaughters, Ashley Jane and Bridget Marie Mitchell both of Camillus.
Services: 10 A.M. Saturday at Marietta United Christian Church, Burial will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino. Calling hours; will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Norris Funeral Home, 33 North Street, Marcellus.
Contributions: Amber Fire Department and Marietta United Christian Church.
