Lillian M (Maloney) Langteigne, 84, formerly of Brattle street, died Thursday, Nov 26 2009 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare.

Lillian was born in Cambridge, June 14 1925, the daughterof Joseph P and Cora(Penny) Maloney.

She grew up in Somerville and Athol and had lived in Somerville for many years and since 1950 has resided in Athol.

She attended schoola in Somerville and Athol. Lillian was a busy homemaker raising eight children and during World War II she was a welder in a Navy shipyard.

Lillian was amember of Our Lady Immaculate Church and the women's group of the church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed soending time with her family.

Her husband of 55 years, Joseph Lanteigne died in 2005.

She leaves seven sons: Stephen Lanteign of Arizona, Jon Lanteigne of Amherst, David Lanteigne of Natick, Peter Lanteigne and his wife Janet of Athol, Marc Lanterigne and his wife Trina of Concord, Christopher Lanteigne and Jean Lanteigne both of Athol; one daughter Theresa DeOlivera and her husband Ze of Dover, NH; several grandchildren, Samatha, Michelle, Rene, Joseph, Katellyn, (Jeffery and Joseph step grandsons); three great grandchildren; Tyler, Trinity and Ojahnae; a brother Joseph Maloney of California and her step-mother, Ruth Maloney on Somerville.

She was predeceased by four brothers and sisters.

Funeral services from Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St athol, with a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, Dec 1, at 10:30 Am at Our Lady of Immuaculate Church, 192 School St, Athol.

Burial will follow at Sliver Lake Cemeteryand there will be a calling hour from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor's choice. Ther will be an open house for the family and friends Tuesday, Dec 1 at Peter's home, 144 Wendell St, Athol from 6 to 8 PM.
