Mae Pearl McCoy, 87, of Kountze, died Friday, February 24, 2017, at her home. She was born on December 31, 1929, in Columbia County, Florida, to Carrie Bell Wheeler and John H. Register and was a long-time resident of the Kountze area.

Survivors include her children, Elaine Warden and her husband, Richard; Cynthia Jauer and her husband, Randy; Eddie McCoy and his wife, Cynthia, all of Kountze; and J.B. McCoy and his wife, Bobbie Gene of Pasadena; grandchildren, Jeffrey Warden and his wife, Tonya; Jeremy Warden and his wife, Lavonda; Kathy Craig and her husband, Jamie; Michael Jauer; Mark McCoy and his wife Jessica; David McCoy and his wife, Christine; Richard McCoy; Frank McCoy, all of Kountze; Joshua McCoy and his wife, Katy; Jennifer Ward and her husband, Aaron; and Jessica Rodriguez and her husband, Francisco, all of Pasadena; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence E. McCoy; grandson, Johnathon Wade Warden; and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn McCoy.

A gathering of Mrs. McCoy’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at First Baptist Church, 100 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Kountze, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, Kountze.
