Chelsea was born at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. Her family lived in briefly in Alton and Rochester before setting in Laconia, NH. She attended the Holy Trinity School in Laconia, then the Pleasant Street School in Laconia before moving to Gilmanton in 2003.

A studious learner and budding artist, Chelsea graduated with High Honors from the Gilmanton School in June, 2008. She humbly accepted the President's Award for Academic Excellence, The Scholastic Art and Writing Award, the Nelson Family Award and the Art Award.

2008 brought about freshman year in the Gilford High School. She nourished her love of art and cherished the company of her many dear friends, both those from Gilmanton and her new ones in Gilford. But the pressures of teenage life and love wore heavy on her heart. She chose to go to Jesus for rest, and tragically ended her precious life on March 16, 2009.

Chelsea is survived and forever missed by Scott and Ida, her parents; by her twin sister Miranda and younger sister Brianna; her grandparents Ira and Charlotte Locke, of Amesbury, Mass; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In Heaven she joins grandparents George and Lillian Bowen, and her beloved friend Molly.

She was waked on March 21, 2009 at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home in Laconia. Her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on the Sabbath, March 22 at the Saint Joseph's Church in Laconia. Pastor Gary Kosmowski, the same man of God who baptized Chelsea, welcomed her home.
