Edna M. Taylor, 73, died Sunday, December 1, 2002, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at the First Church of Nazarene in Kearney. The Rev. Jack Atteberry officiated, with interment in the Kearney Cemetery. O'Brien-Straatmann-Apfel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the church or to the family.
She was born in Brewster, NE, on July 11, 1929 to Floyd and Ada (Hall) Thompson. She grew up in Ansley and Hemingford, Nebraska areas. She attended school in Ansley and Hemingford and graduated from Hemingford High School.
She was married to Sherman Taylor at Hemingford, Neb, on December 24, 1946. She served as a pastor's wife. They served in churches in Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Wyoming. She was a member of the church and of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.
Survivors include sons, Rodney, Edward and Warren; brothers, Clarence, Earl and Oriville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister.
