Services for James Alfred Anderzen, 80, of 228 Gaviota Ave., who died Sunday, will be 10 a.m. tomorrow in Mottell's Chapel, Rev. Augustus Martyr officiating.
Mr. Anderzen lived here 13 years. He owned a mercantile business.
Survivors include his widow, Lucille; daughters Mrs. Leah Glass, Long Beach and Mrs. Julia Ross, Elm Creek, Neb.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A family story related by James' granddaughter June Lee Glass: Lucy Belle Glass was driving her Grandpa Anderzen somewhere and the car needed gas. They'd pull into a filling station, Grandpa would ask the price, shake his head, turn to Lucy and say, "Drive on, Lu!" This happened at a number of filling stations before he finally found one with a price he was willing to pay.
