Mr. Tubbs was born in Georgetown, Texas on April 13, 1936 to Daniel Archie and Mary Lois (Mott) Tubbs, Sr. He later moved to Belton where he has lived most of his life. He married Hazel Dillard on March 9, 1957 in Belton. He worked in construction and the moving business. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Tubbs of Belton, 4 sons, Rocky Tubbs of Belton, Steven Tubbs of Austin, Brian Tubbs of Belton and Keith Tubbs of Holland, 3 daughters, Vickie Fritz of San Marcos, Debbie Burleson of Belton and Tina Donoho of San Marcos, brother Wayne Tubbs of Belton, 2 sisters, Ella Lois Ralston of Belton and Betty Ann Melroy of Georgia, 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

BELTON — Services for Daniel Archie Tubbs Jr., 73, of Belton will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton with the Rev. Sam Callaway officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.

Mr. Tubbs died Wednesday, Dec. 2, at his home.

He was born on April 19, 1936, to Daniel Archie Tubbs Sr. and Mary Lois Mott Tubbs in Georgetown. He moved to Belton, where he lived most of his life. He married Hazel Dillard on March 9, 1957, in Belton. He worked in construction and in the moving business. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Belton; four sons, Rocky Tubbs and Brian Tubbs, both of Belton, Steven Tubbs of Austin and Keith Tubbs of Holland; three daughters, Vicky Fritz and Tina Donoho, both of San Marcos and Debbie Burleson of Belton; a brother, Wayne Tubbs of Belton; two sisters, Ella Lois Ralston of Belton and Betty Ann Melroy of Georgia; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
