DUMAS - Sara B. Everett, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Street Church of Christ with Art Lynch, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Sara B. Everett was born June 7, 1919, in Celina, Tenn., to Thomas and Maude Smith. On Dec. 22, 1945, she married A.G. "Tony" Everett at Bowling Green, Ky. They settled north of Stratford, where they farmed for many years. She moved to Dumas in 1961 and went to work for J.C. Penney, where she worked for 20 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed her daily walks and visits with her many friends and neighbors. Sara had been a resident of Dumas for 48 years and was a faithful member of First Street Church of Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; three brothers; three sisters; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Harkrider and husband Buck of Dumas; a sister, Lattie Sartin of Edmonton, Ky.; two granddaughters, Toni Bain and husband David and Trenna White and husband Roger, all of Dumas; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.

The family will be at 1014 E. Eighth St. in Dumas.
