She died Nov. 30, 2009, at the Pella Hospice Comfort House at the age of 52.
Sharon received her early education at the Oskaloosa schools and graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1975. For the last 12 years, Sharon was employed in the Parts Center at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brandi (Jeremy) Gassmann of Lee's Summit, Mo.; mother, Erma Moore of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren, Elaina and Alexis Gassmann; two brothers, Gary (Lorraine) Moore of Tucson, Ariz., and Dennis (Patti) Moore of Bussey; and her significant other, Mark Sweitzer of Knoxville.
Preceding her in death were her son, Jesse Shafranek; her father, Wilbur Moore; and special friend, Gary Lahart.
Funeral services will be Thursday at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. The Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home made the arrangements.
