MRS. NANCY ELIZABETH BELL, Ringgold, widow of Joseph P. Bell, died Thursday at 6:53 a.m. in the Waynesboro Hospital, aged 71 years.
Born at Ringgold and a resident of that town her entire life, she was the daughter of Martin and Annie (King) Creager. Her husband had died in January, 1951. Mrs. Bell had suffered a stroke on April 23.
Surviving are children, George H., Waynesboro; Daniel M., Ringgold; Mrs. Russell E. Smith, Hagerstown; Mrs. Benjamin Miller, Pen Mar; Mrs. Chester Weaver, Halfway; Mrs. Ronald Itnyre, Mrs. Margaret Bumbaugh, Waynesboro; Mrs. Margaret Hugh, at home; 30 grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Keller Creager, Ringgold; sisters, Mrs. Emma Sanders, Waynesboro; Mrs. Bertha Hollingsworth, Hagerstown; half-brother, Merle Creager, Waynesboro; half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith, Ringgold; and Mrs. James Wolf, Waynesboro.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Union Church in Ringgold, the Rev. Eugene Young officiating.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro; or at the church from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.
