Brittany Danielle Parker, 19, of 408 Shalimar Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009.
Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Ricky Nesbitt Parker and Tracie Blackwell Parker. She was a student of radiology at Spartanburg Community College, a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church and attended Central Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Bryson Parker of the home; two sisters, Kendal Parker and Kensley Parker of the home; maternal grandmother, Martie Blackwell of Gaffney; maternal grandfather, Darrell Blackwell and maternal step-grandmother, Norma Blackwell of Pacolet; paternal grandparents, John and June Parker of Gaffney; a very special uncle, Jason Blackwell and wife, Annette, of Gaffney.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Jackson, the Rev. David Toney and the Rev. Tommy Sparks officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, 201 W. Montgomery St., Gaffney, SC 29340; or Cherokee County Children's Home, P.O. Box 1896, Gaffney, SC 29342.
