Mr. W. W. (Bud) McClellan, aged about 74 years, died at his home in Fayetteville, 330 Hedgemont Avenue, at 4 o'clock Thursday morning, September 6, 1917. During the War he was a member of Co. "G," Turney's First Tennessee Regiment, and he was an active participant in the four years campaign in Virginia. He knew the cause of the South was founded on the eternal principles of right and he was loyal till the end. The funeral service was conducted at the residence at 10 o'clock Friday morning by Elders T. C. Little and A. H. Rozar, burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The old Confederate soldiers acted as honorary pall bearers.
