"George Louis Brown was born in Canada, May 12,1820. He removed to Wisconsin
in 1840, and came to Nebraska in the fall of 1881. The following spring he bought
the farm near Webster where he has resided during his residence in this state.
On Sept 25, 1892 Mr. and Mrs. celebrated the Golden anniversary of their wedding...
The funeral services were held Wednesday after-noon and the remains laid to rest in the Cruickshank Cemetery. The deceased was quite a familiar figure in North Bend, and enjoyed
an extensive acquaintance throughout the county. He was an adherent to the United Brethren Faith, being a local preacher of that denomination. He was quite an energetic man of his age,
and was well posted on matters pertaining to life. The bereaved wife and children have the sympathy of a host of acquaintances in the loss of their husband and father."
