Mrs. Emma (Wall) Thompson, a native of Miller County, died Nov. 27, 1969, at a Springfield hospital after suffering a stroke a short time earlier. She was a widow of John M. Thompson. The Thompson's had lived in Miller County and, for several years, in Eldon before moving to Springfield 23 years ago. Funeral services were held Saturday morning in Springfield and graveside rites that afternoon at the Eldon Cemetery. The Rev. A.L. Alexander officiated at the rites here. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James Collier, Eldon, and Mrs. James Bleomker and Mrs. Leonard Chinn, both of Springfield; one son, John M. Thompson, Jr., St. Petersburg, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
