Lance Cpl. Jonathan A. Taylor of Jacksonville, Florida graduated from Wolfson High School. He was a member of JROTC and sea cadets. He enjoyed politics, history, was an avid Gator fan, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He has received acclaimed awards such as: Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Certificate Of Commendation. He will be remembered for his dedication to God and country, his beautiful smile, and outgoing spirit. He will remain in our hearts forever. Jonathan leaves behind to cherish his memory, parents, Todd (Sue) Taylor, Kristine (James) Branch; grandmother, Gloria Beck; sisters, Mackenzie and Lauren Taylor; step-sister, Paige Larson; and many extended relatives and treasured friends. He died at age 22 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
