OBITUARY
GRUVER - Lillie Marie FLETCHER, 95, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003, in Spearman.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gruver Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. in First Baptist Church with David Fletcher and Scott Curry officiating. Arrangements are by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla.
Mrs. FLETCHER, affectionately known as "Babboo," was born November 14, 1907, in Coldwater, Kansas, to Belle and Joseph HARBAUGH. She married Gay Henderson FLETCHER on Feb. 21, 1923, in Liberal, Kan. Mrs. FLETCHER was a member of First Baptist Church of Gruver, was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was active in the Women's Mission Organization.
"A woman who fears the Lord is greatly to be praised," Proverbs 31:30.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; an infant son, Joe Bill FLETCHER; a daughter, Phyllis Marie Fletcher CUTTER; four brothers; three sisters; a daughter-in-law, Josephine FLETCHER; and a great-grandson, Austin ALLEN.
Survivors include four sons, Gene FLETCHER of Gruver, Don E. FLETCHER and wife, Margaret, of Denton, Robert N. FLETCHER and wife, Judy, of Lake Tanglewood and Richie FLETCHER and wife, Carolyn, of Gruver; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Lottie Moon Mission Offering or Andy Fletcher, International Communities Foundation, a Christian outreach ministry to the children who are the next generation of the world's leaders, in care of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
The body will be available for viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
