C. Fernando served in the 8th Regiment Company I (known as the three months men) in the civil war with his brother Milo 1836-1864 who was killed in May 6, 1864 His other brother who also served in the Civil war was my gggrandfather Bryan H Bryant 1837-1921. From my research C.F. and Bryan named both their first borns after their father Harlow Rice Bryant 1812-1891. C.J. named his second son of course after his brother who died in the civil war.
