George Anthony "Andy" Carmichael, 47, of Sullivan and formerly of Jasonville, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Linton on April 15, 1962 to George D. and Hilda Louise (Allen) Carmichael.

He formerly worked at Charles Jackson Sawmill in Owensburg. He lived most of his life in Jasonville, but had also lived in Bloomfield. He attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville. He enjoyed watching Monday night wrestling and taking care of his dogs.

Andy is survived by his spouse, Brenda Page of Sullivan; his father, George D. Carmichael of Jasonville; step-children Wendy Klinger (Ken) of Lafayette, Mark Klinger (Jeremy) of Lafayette, and Gary Wardlaw (Samantha) of Brazil; sisters, Betty Allen of Linton, and Mary ( Stanley) Jordan of Shirley, IN; mother-in-law, Connie Wools of Linton; sisters-in-law, Sue (Jerry)Russell of Jasonville, Tina (Jim )Chandler) of Linton and Emily Carmichael of Linton; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Carmichael; brothers, Roger Carmichael and Donald Carmichael; and brother-in-law, Paolo Privterra.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, 631 East Main Street, in Jasonville. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m on Friday with Pastor Jerry Ross of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Jerry French of Roosevelt Mission officating. Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery near Owensburg.
