Jerry Davis Voyles, age 68 of San Antonio, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009.

Jerry was a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Bronze Star with "V" Device and Silver Star.

Jerry loved fishing in Matagorda Bay. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jefferson Davis Voyles.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ellen Voyles; son, Scott Voyles and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Allison Voyles and Taylor Voyles; his mother, Maurine T. Voyles; sister, Marcia Sawyer and husband, Tom; sister-in-law, Anne Jordan and husband, Larry; nieces, Kim Russell and husband, Will, Lori Koehler and husband, Scott and Katherine Lamb; nephews, Jeff Waggener and wife, Ginger, Jay Jordan and wife, Gina and Alex Jordan; great nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America or to a charity of your choice.
