Extreme Old Age
Mrs. Phila J. Eveleth died at her home near Hayden Sunday. She had lived beyond the allotted time having reached her ninty-second birthday last January. She died from the infirmities of old age.
NORTH VERNON SUN March 24, 1905
Mrs. Roda Eveleth, aged 92, died at the home of her son, George, who lives three miles north of Hayden, last Sunday morning. She was the living representative of five generations and had a host of relatives who loved their good old grandmother. Mrs. Eveleth came to the farm where she died in 1838 and lived there ever since. Rev. Duncan of this city, conducted the funeral last Monday afternoon. The remains were interred in the Mutton creek cemetery (Hulse Cemetery)
