B. B. Rekus
EDINA, Mo. — B. B. Rekus, 75, of Cole Camp, formerly of Rutledge and Edina, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday (March 24, 1982) in Bothwell Memorial Hospital in Sedalia.
He was born Aug. 4, 1906, in Rutledge, a son of William Francis and Nettie Lingenfelter Rekus. On May 3, 1930, he married Catherine A. Whaley.
Mr. Rekus attended Chillicothe Business College. In the late 1920's, he moved to Chicago where he was employed by New York Life Insurance Company from 1936 to 1978. He later moved to Cole Camp where he was a semi-retired farmer and cattleman.
Surviving are a son, Bernard W. of Palos Hills, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Welba [sic] Jane) McGushin of Homewood, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, by the Rev. Charles Patterson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
