Daniel Ray Allshouse, 55, of South San Francisco, Calif., died on Nov. 18, in South San Francisco.
Dan was born on Dec. 23, 1953, in Cody, Wyo.
He was the son of Lawrence Pete Allshouse and Lois (Taylor) Allshouse. Growing up, he was good at anything and everything mechanical or electrical. He started working on cars when he was about 9 years old and retained that talent throughout his life. He was very generous with his talents and drove many miles to rescue a friend or family member that had been stranded somewhere by a car problem or needed something fixed in their home. His generous spirit and willingness to always help those in need will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Dan was a journeyman electrician.
Dan is survived by his four children - son, Christopher Paul of Laguna Beach, Calif.; daughter, Casandra Lynn Lefler and her husband Cameron of Puyallup, Wash.; Daniel Ray Allshouse II, who is in the Air Force in Okinawa; Sean Allshouse of Fresno, Calif.; his three grandchildren, Conner, Rowan and Teyla; sisters, Shirley Evans of Long Beach, Calif., and Dorothy Wisdom of Lucerne Valley, Calif.; brother, Ron Allshouse of Vacaville, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 480 Wrentham Drive, Vacaville, CA. Elder Mike Sandifer will be conducting.
A memorial fund has been established in Dan's name at Travis Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 2069, Vacaville, CA 95696 Acct. No. 453117. Donations are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
