Cochran, Roy L. - Services for Roy L. Cochran, 84, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home by the Revs. Richard Hill and David Chenault. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. He died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 12, 1920, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Roy and Ida Jane Cochran. He was a retired employee of Syracuse China Corp. in Syracuse, N.Y., a World War II veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634, Loyal Benevolence Lodge in Burgin and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Cochran; a son Roy Cochran Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers are Roy S. Cochran, James R. Payne, David Scott, Raymond Houston Jr. and June Christy. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Friday. AM 4/13/2005
