Born July 12, 1920, in Mercer County, he was a son of the late Roy and Ida Jane Cochran. He was a retired employee of Syracuse China Corp. in Syracuse, N.Y., a World War II veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3634, Loyal Benevolence Lodge in Burgin and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Cochran; a son Roy Cochran Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers are Roy S. Cochran, James R. Payne, David Scott, Raymond Houston Jr. and June Christy. Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Friday. AM 4/13/2005
