Margaret Rice began teaching at Carlton in 1915. In 1917 her teaching career in Hamilton began which lasted until 1960, with the exception of 1937 when she married Carl Denby Embrey on June 29 Hamilton County Marriage Record Bk. 10, pg. 125, and then later when their son Carl Rice Embrey was born.
