Funeral Services For Laura Reed Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Laura B. Reed were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pentecostal Holiness church with Rev. James Riddlespurger, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery with Pitcher Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Reed had been ill about six years and had been in the Carnegie hospital three weeks before her death Monday.
Laura Bell Standley was born July 8, 1883, in Kansas. She was married to Lewis Martin Reed in 1908 at Guthrie. Eight children were born to them. She made her home near Seward and Guthrie until moving to Carnegie in 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband in April, 1945, and four children, two in infancy, and Alfred Reed in May, 1960, and Clara Sexton in June, 1963.
She is survived by four children, Eunice Evans of Mountain View, M.L. Reed of Lawton, Warren Reed of Texhoma, and Nema Trotter of Mesa, Ariz., 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
