Lydia Gash was cremated at Belmont Memorial Park, but despite numerous phone calls to the family, no one ever picked up her ashes. At that time, California required the cemetery to bury the abandoned ashes after a certain length of time had passed. Her package of ashes was put into a concrete vault with others that were also abandoned, & buried. The vault is one like a casket is put into for burial. Her reference is:
