He & his wife Sarah had nine 'Blue Babies'.
They was married 10 Feb 1896.

Thomas is buried in a different cemetery & state then his wife. If you look at his wife's memorial, you will see that there was a burial spot for him beside her.
It appears that all of his family passed away before him. So maybe the state buried him here instead of shipping his body to Illinois.
