" Mrs. Laura Noan Hammett Goatcher Maxwell, 87, of Morrilton, died Wednesday Nov 2nd. She was born August 10, 1901 in Formosa, a daughter of Thomas Hammett and Elizabeth Amanda Huie Hammett. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Norma Calhoun of Morrilton; three stepsons, Denver Maxwell and Linton Maxwell both of Clinton, and Opie Maxwell of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Sherman Hackler of Clinton, Mrs. Loument Cullum of Indiana, and Mrs. Alph Bomar of Missouri; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were 10 a. m. Saturday at Harris Chapel by Rev. Roy Tilley. Burial was at Union Hill Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
Pallbearers were Shannon Scroggins, Jerry Scroggins, Wesley Hammett, Howell Hammett, Denver Maxwell, and Lenton Maxwell."
