Ben is the oldest son of Reuben and Matilda(Sanders) Drake; brother of Jesse Drake, Epsey McClaren, Julia, Clarinda "Clara" Dupee, Elmer, Cynthia, Laura Babb and Mary Drake.
Husband of Sarah Eliza (Beighley)Drake.

Ben and Sarah had the following children - Blanche (Howard) Henthorn; Elmer (Adele) Drake; Epsie "Stella" (John) Barney; Jesse (Mattie) Drake; Gertrude Jane Drake (Otto) McDaniel; Mary Matilda (Arthur)Ward and Edith Odessa (Frederick)Ward.

Ben died in 1915. He was the father of seven children who gave him 25 grandchildren.
