Visitation is 1 pm today at Lakewood Funeral Home; chapel service is 2 pm with interment following in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Karen was a longtime resident of Pearl, and a retired Hair Stylist. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon, and a former Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and making jewelry (beading). She loved music, singing, playing the piano, and children.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Claude Harvey; and her sister, Janelle Hodges.
She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Harvey of Clinton; two sons, David "Mick" Jones, Jr. and wife, Mary of Brandon, David Dwayne Ashley, Jr. of Pearl; one brother, Bill Harvey of Pearl; two sisters, Tammy Porter of Pattison, MS, June Beecher of Jackson; and the joy of her life, her grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Kira, Ilia, and Tori Giammarco.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
