James B. Acuff Sr., 63, Athens, died Wednesday at his residence.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Winfred Clark, Bill Irby and Herbert Chittam officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Acuff was a member of the West Hobbs Street Church of Christ, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was retired from NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Acuff; a daughter, Judy Hill of Athens; a son, James B. Acuff Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; three brothers, William Howard Acuff of Huntsville, Victor Acuff and Otha "Buster" Acuff, both of Meridianville; a sister, Sue Koster of Huntsville and seven grandchildren.
