He was born April 11, 1925, in Springfield, the son of George and Dorothy Earl Bale. He married Phyllis Zuckswerth in Glenarm in 1948. Mr. Bale was a product designer and retired in 1991 from Skil Corp. of Chicago. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis of Aurora, Colo.; daughter, Debra Countryman of Aurora, Colo.; sister, Charlotte Biesenthal of New Berlin; brother, George Bale of Auburn; and two grandchildren.
Services: Bisch and Son Funeral Home, with the Revs. Larry Countryman and Ken Hogren officiating. Burial: Cumberland Cemetery in Glenarm.
