Billy Ray Owen, 65, died Saturday March 24, 2007 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born June 28, 1941 in Fulton to the late Tom Bush Owen and his surviving Mother Clarise Deane Owen.

He was married July 1, 1961 to Donna Gay Anderson from Dallas. They met and fell in love, married, started their family and lived in Southern California until he retired and moved to Fulton, Missouri three years ago. His wife Donna and son Jon survive of the home.

Other survivors include his daughter Shari Owen-Curtis and her husband, Mike Curtis, of Victorville, California, his son Billy Bush Owen and his wife Ana and three granddaughters Jillian 6, Billie, all of Auxvasse and Elizabeth 19 at Boston University. Also a brother Carl Wood Owen and wife Connie of Huntington Beach, California, many cousins and many dear friends.

He was proceeded in death by his father, youngest brother Tom Pate "TP' Owen and his beloved Bulldog Butch.

Bill and family lived in California until three years ago when he, Donna and Jon moved to Fulton, Missouri. Very recently Bill became interested and then obsessed with Black Angus show cows and he started a small ranch at his home. It all just happened to late for him to enjoy it as long as he would have liked. He continues to have two Circuit Breaker Companies: One in Anaheim, California (Orange County Circuit Breakers) family run and one in Irving, Texas (Texas Breakers Inc)

His best friends included Paul F. Atterberry Jr., Larry Nolte, Ralph Pickerell all of Fulton and his right hand man "cowhand" Chris Beedle.

He loved St. Louis Cardinals and Anaheim Angels baseball and Missouri Tigers basketball.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 27 from 6-8PM at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Funeral is scheduled for Wednesday March 28 at 12:00 Noon at Maupin Funeral Home followed by procession to gravesite at Auxvasse Cemetary.
