She was born Dec. 8, 1915, in Bath County, Ky., the daughter of Benjamin and Lucy Hovermale Dale. She married John H. Cody in Kentucky in 1935; he died in 1980. Also preceding in death were two sons, Kenneth and William Cody, and a daughter, Betty Toler.
Mrs. Cody had attended Divernon Presbyterian Church and was a member of Chatham Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon.
Survivors: four sons, Don (wife, Marge) Cody of Pawnee, Bruce (wife, Janice) Cody of Springfield, David (wife, Sandra) Cody of Divernon and Douglas Cody of Riverton; three daughters, Mrs. David (Barbara) McTaggart of Chatham and Mrs. Butch (Sharon) Landrey and Mrs. Tony (Shelley) Harris, both of Pawnee; several grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ben and Ollie Dale, both of Kentucky; a sister, Clarine Bowen of Pawnee; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn, the Rev. Carroll Toler officiating. Burial: Cumberland-Sugar Creek Cemetery, Glenarm.
