He was a member of Clara First Baptist Church; he served in the U. S. Army, and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict; he worked with Clanton Pest Control for 35 years. Mr. James is preceded in death by his wife, Ann Cochran James. He is survived by 2 sons, Michael James (Nikki) and Mitchell James (Penny); daughter, Anna Williams (James), all of Waynesboro; 5 grandchildren, Garet James, Anna Catherine Boyles, Brooks Scott James, Mikaela Pena, Aaron James; 2 great-grandchildren, Brady Scott James, Leyton James. Visitation for Mr. James will be held from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Michael James and Dr. Richard Bradley officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brooks Scott James. Garet James, Aaron James, Dillon Boyles, David Sumrall, Hubert James, Josh Rowell, Chris James, Jesse Fontenot.
