Lifus Aaron Allen, 93, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.
A graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Donald Vickers officiating. Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Allen was a native of Limestone County, a member of the Church of Christ, and a retired carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Allen, and by one son, Charles Thomas Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas D. Allen and Rudolph Allen, both of Athens; three daughters, Barbara Wales of Athens, Norma Prater of Vernon and Carolyn Moore of Ardmore; one sister, Lou Emma Clem of Athens; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
