Dee Hundley, 81, died peacefully at a local hospital on Thanksgiving morning with her family by her side.

She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN.

On December 8th, 2009 she would have been married 63 years to Raymond Hundley.

She and her husband operated Rickey's Restaurant for 50 years where her warmth, friendliness, beautiful smile and wit made everyone feel welcomed and at home.
She and Raymond retired in 1990 and since have spent their days living downtown on the river. They enjoyed their wonderful, caring friends of the Shriner's Red Fez Club. Actually, Dee and Raymond enjoyed doing everything life had to offer as long as they were doing it together. She was a wonderful woman, friend and mother and will be deeply missed by many.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Hundley; daughter, Former Hamilton County Commissioner, Brenda (Tag) Bailey; daughter, former designer model, Sharon (Neil) Sobel; sister, Katherine Johnson, one grandson, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009 in the chapel with Rev. Billy Dean and Rev. Jim Watkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The Hundley family wishes to extend their thankfulness and gratitude to the entire staff and doctors of the SICU unit at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Arthur Kort and Dr. Richard Morrison for all their compassion and care.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40532.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 3-7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
